Add Records

Multiple rows can be added to a table at once. You can only add new records for GIS objects which do not have geometry. You cannot add or delete spatial features.

  1. Select the table to add records to. See Load a Table for more information.
  2. In the panel at the top of the page, enter the number of rows. The extra rows are created when you click Add, not when you click Save. Note that Cityworks adds all the rows, even if they are empty. It is recommended that you only add the number of rows that you need to populate the new information.
  3. Click Add.

This creates blank records that you can populate with asset information.

  1. Enter the desired information and click Save.

NOTE: When adding or editing material, there is a UnitOfMeasure field that is populated using the UNITMEAS custom code, which is defined under Preferences in Designer. Custom codes have a code and description, and you must enter the code value (not the description value) in the UnitOfMeasure field in Table Editor. The code value you enter must match an existing code in the system, otherwise the material does not display a unit of measure when viewed in Storeroom. See Configure Custom Codes Preferences in Designer for 15.8 Guide for more information.
