Work Order Toolbar Fields

The following fields are found on the work order toolbar.

  • Work OrderClick to return to the main work order window.
  • Functions: Click the functions drop-down list to access more functionality within the work order.
  • TaskClick to view, edit, or add tasks. See Tasks for more information.
  • LaborClick to view, edit, or add labor.
  • MaterialClick to view, edit, or add material.
  • EquipmentClick to view, edit, or add equipment.
  • ELMClick to quickly add labor, material, or equipment to the work order. ELM is for users who use crews. See ELM for more information.
  • Line Items: Click to manage line items associated to any contracts attached to the work order. See Add a Line Item in the Contracts 15.8 Guide for more information.
  • ReadingsClick to manually update the asset reading on the work order. Assets must be configured for readings in Designer. See Asset Readings for more information.
  • Permit CostClick to view and edit simple permits and their costs. See Permits for more information.
  • AttachmentsClick to attach images, documents, or files related to the work order. See Attachments for more information.
  • DocumentsClick to connect to third-party document management systems.
  • Audit LogClick to view an audit log, which tracks all edits made to the work order. See View the Audit Log for more information.
  • Cost SummaryClick to view the work order cost summary. You also have the option to export the cost summary to an Excel file. See Cost for more information.
  • SecurityClick to view and edit the work order security. This is only available to domain administrators. See Security for more information.
  • Email: Click to email the work order.
  • Print: Click to print the work order.
  • SaveClick to save any changes made.
  • CloseClick to close the work order. All required fields must be complete before a work order can be closed. You must have the required security rights to close a work order.
  • Delete: Click to delete the work order. You must have the required security rights to delete a work order.
  • Geocode this work order's address: Click to geocode the work order address. In the Geocode Results panel, select the desired address. Select Use the address of the selected candidate to update the address and X and Y coordinates with the selected address and its coordinates. If you do not select this check box, it updates the X and Y coordinates but not the address.
  • View work history located near this Work Order: Click to display work history located near the work order address. See View Work History Summary for more information.
  • Reopen work activity: Click to reopen the work order. This icon only shows on closed work orders. Only domain administrators can reopen closed work orders.
